Join the awards network

The vinspired awards are a powerful way to recognise, reward and value the contribution made by young volunteers to your organisation.

All volunteers aged 16-25 in England are entitled to recognition through the vinspired awards. If you'd like to promote the awards to your young volunteers, you can apply to join the vinspired awards network, which already includes over 450 voluntary organisations. By joining them, you'll be helping young volunteers gain recognition from a credible source - something that will help them in their search for rewarding jobs and training.

How does it work?

Young people can work towards their vfifty and vimpact awards by filling in details of their volunteering online. They then ask a referee to confirm that they did the required number of hours, and send their application to a validator.

If you join the vinspired awards network, you will be able to validate the awards of your volunteers through our online system. As a validator, you'll receive notification when one of your volunteers has completed their application. You'll then log into your account, and decide whether the criteria has been met.

The vinspired awards can be used as stand alone awards or to complement other accreditation schemes. This means young people can achieve both vinspired awards and any other accreditation / recognition your organisation is offering.

If I don't join the network, can my volunteers still get vinspired awards?

Yes. Any volunteer aged 16-25 in England can apply for a vinspired award by recording details of their volunteering through the online system. If the organisation they volunteer for is not part of the vinspired awards network, they can send their application to our central team of validators.
