BP Olympics Young Leaders Programme

As a unique charity, we’re working to inspire a new generation of volunteers - making voluntary work something that all young people are keen to get involved in. And in this role, you’ll ensure they do.

Our new young leaders programme is an exciting scheme to engage young people in community projects, influenced by the Olympics values. Through this programme, we’re aiming to involve more young people in volunteering - so it goes without saying that it’s an exciting challenge.

P/t Volunteer Coordinator c. £26k (pro rata, 2.5 days pw) Hull

Providing essential support to our young volunteer leaders, you’ll enable them to deliver effective projects in their communities. This will mean liaising with a wide range of local organisations, as you assure that all activities are delivered on time and to plan. A qualified youth worker with a proven flair for engaging young people, you’ll also need first-rate project planning skills. This is a fixed-term post until December 2011.

Marketing Communications Manager

c. £32k (maternity cover with potential to become permanent) London SW1

We’re on a mission – to challenge perceptions of volunteering and really speak to 16 to 25 year olds. This year, amongst other things, we’re going to be going to festivals, challenging youth stereotypes and recognising and rewarding amazing young people for the great work that they do.  We’re looking for someone with passion, energy and bags of enthusiasm to work with the team to build on our incredible achievements to date and help us achieve even more.

You’ll deal with all elements of our marketing activities - delivering innovative campaigns and promotions, overseeing effective research, maintaining strong brand guidelines and building outstanding partnerships. Helping us shape our strategy in this field, you’ll work closely with other marketing, media and research agencies, and will make the most of the opportunities presented by our sponsors and partners.
