Uploading your opportunities to vinspired.com.

vinspired was relaunched in November 2009 with the aim to create a marketplace for young people to find the volunteering opportunity that is best suited to them. In order to create the fullest and most diverse marketplace, vinspired are always looking for organisations who are recruiting for volunteers.

The site aims to assist organisations with their volunteer recruitment process, by giving their organisation a profile on the site and the functionality to upload their opportunities, therefore making them visible to a database of 65,000 16-25 year olds. Organisations can also manage applications and volunteer communications through the vinspired website as well.

 

Getting started

If you would like to set up a profile for your organisation on vinspired.com, please download the Information Request Form   and send it to organisations@vinspired.com.

A step-by-step guide on how to use vinspired

 Once you have set up an account with the vinspired team,you will want to start using the site.

To make the process of uploading opportunities to the vinspired.com website easier, we have produced a step-by-step guide on How to use vinspired, which you can download HERE.

We have also produced a number of videos to guide you through the key stages:

1. How to edit your profile.

This video will take you through your personal profile and how to edit it. We would recommend making yourself seem as personable as possible, on the basis that young volunteers will feel more comfortable approaching you with queries about your organisation and any opportunities attached to it.

2. How to set up a profile for other members of staff.

If you would like to delegate some of the maintenance of your vinspired profile to other members of staff, this video will show you how to create an account for them.

3. How to create an opportunity.

This video will tell you how to upload your volunteering opportunties and tag them so that they appear in the relevant sections.

4. How to edit your organisation's page.

If your organisation's details or logo changes, you can find out how to edit your organisation's profile page here.

5. How to add additional pages to your organisation section.

vinspired allows you to create additional pages to your original profile page. For example, if you wanted to create a page with quotes from young people who had taken part in one of your projects, you can do this by following the steps in the video below.

6. How to add your facebook fanpage to your organisation's profile page.

vinspired allows you to connect your facebook fanpage to your organisation's profile page to make it easier for volunteers in your organisation to stay in touch with current events.

7. How to Accept/Reject/Manage volunteer applications.

This video will tell you how to manage volunteer applications, as well as show you how you can message all pending, accepted or reject volunteers who have expressed an interest in your opportunity.
