Site update
We've made some changes to vinspired.com...
To make vinspired.com even better, we've been very busy adding loads of new features. Here's a quick outline of what's changed and how it works..
A simpler, better profile
Discover tab gives you a list of opportunities near you, filtered according to what you like doing. So if you're interested in wildlife and live in SE23 for example, we'll try and show you opportunities that fit those criteria first.
Record tab is where it all happens. Here you can see what you've applied to do and what opportunities you're doing right now. You can then start adding the hours you've clocked up, also recording your experiences and uploading your photos.
Don't forget you can add other volunteering that's not on vinspired.com to your profile to start making it count.
Awards tab gives you an overview of the awards available on vinspired.com. You're automatically doing a v50, so as soon as you start adding hours they'll show up on your progress bar and your avatar for the world to see. Once you reach 50 hours you will be guided through the application process and be well on your way to having your achievements recognised.
**IMPORTANT AWARDS UPDATE: If you have already started an award, it may take a few days for your record to appear on the new system. Don't panic - your work will not be lost. It's just taking us a little while to transfer the data. Everything will be restored by the end of this week. **
Follow tab is where you should follow your local vinvolved team so they can help you find interesting opportunities in your area and be able to validate your award for you. It's also the place to go to see which projects and organisations your following.
Messages tab is your inbox and outbox. So if you've asked an organiser a question about an opportunity you can see their response here.
Searching made simple
We've taken some time to make search a lot more powerful. You now get a list of opportunities with richer, clearer information about them. You can also filter the results by interest to find the opportunity you really want.
Opportunity page improvements
We've made these bolder and clearer - it should now be easier to see when and where an opportunity is happening with a handy map. It's even easier to get involved with all the information you need in one place.
