Over the summer the museum offers a range of fun educational activities for groups of children and we need volunteers to help run these. You can also get involved in other one off projects at the museum including a retro ambulance day and a Roma textiles exhibition.
This is invaluable experience for anyone interested in pursuing a career in museums or education. You will gain experience of a range of activities relevant to working in a museum such as preparing resources, collating evaluation responses and updating education electronic resources and blogs
As a volunteer you’ll be speaking to members of the public visiting the museum so will need to have good communication skills and be approachable and friendly.
This is a great opportunity to get skills related to working in a museum and so we’d really like volunteers who are reliable and committed.
