This is a real-life makeover project!

This is the culmination of a year’s hard work by local residents, the Local Authority, Surrey Wildlife Trust and Lower Mole Countryside Project to consult organisations and raise the money to restore the pond in Shadbolt Park.

The current pond is concrete, dry and cracked.  You'll will be removing part of the concrete, digging new shallow sides to the pond to make it better for wildlife.  The area around the pond will also be scraped to allow rain water to drain into the pond.  On the Sunday we will be laying the new liner and filling the new pond - MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!!

Come along and be a part of this exciting and rewarding project.

No skills or qualifications are needed as tools and training will be provided. You'll need to wear suitable clothing and footwear for wet weather and be prepared for hard work!

Unfortunately, there is no disabled access to the project.

Just fill in the Surrey vInvolved Sign Up Form and email to frances.green@ymcaredhill.com if you'd like one of the limited places on this project.
