Are you 16-25 and want to help out with a local charity shop? People from all over Plymouth kindly donate items to the British Red Cross and they are collected for sorting at the shop. Volunteers are needed to go out to collection points, load up items into the van, and bring them back to the shop. The ability to take part in manual handling is the only requirement of the role. Full support and training will be provided as well as the chance to gain a national volunteering certificate.
The British Red Cross are a volunteer-led humanitarian organisation that helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. They enable vulnerable people at home and overseas to prepare for and respond to emergencies in their own communities. And when the crisis is over, they help people recover and move on with their lives.
