    The Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) is looking for a volunteers to become a 'Branch Contact' for their Plymouth & District, Support & Fundraising group.

    The MNDA’s mission is to fund and promote research to bring about an end to Motor Neurone Disease (MND). The MNDA help to enable everyone with MND to receive the best care & achieve the highest quality of life possible. They provide support the families and carers of people with MND.

    The MND Association has 92 branches and groups across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, all run entirely by volunteers who provide an invaluable local service to people affected by MND. Within the branches and groups, volunteers work together in many different ways to provide support, raise awareness, influence, and fundraise on behalf of people living with MND.

    The Plymouth Branch requires a volunteer Branch Contacts to run a support line for people who have just be diagnosed with MND. You will help to welcome people to the branch meetings and help them to understand about the support which can be offered in the area. Training & support provided with the chance to work towards national volunteering certificates. 

    You must have good telephone skills, be a good listener, sensitive & understanding. You must be willing to make a regular commitment to the group.
