    The John Clare Trust have restored this well known 19th Century poets home and gardens and require volunteers to help run and maintain the cottage and gardens.

    Roles include Front of house assistant, catering assistant, education assistant, garden/beekeeping assistant, fund raising assistant and general administration.  Duties will include volunteering in the shop, welcoming visitors to the centre, helping with the upkeep of the cottage, serving customers, help with educating school parties, garden maintenance, assist the professional bee keeper with the colony of bees, help organise and run fundraising activities, help to develop and co-ordinate web based fundraising, on line auctions and general clerical duties.  There are many more roles to play so please ask if you have a specific interest.

    The cottage opens 10am-4pm and all weeks of the year, including a few evening events.
