    Do you see yourself as a leader, a good organiser, someone who loves to see a project succeed?  Volleyball England is looking for a Young Volunteer Development Officer.  We need someone to help the National Volunteer Development Officer support young volunteers in their work at national volleyball competitions and in other projects.  You will take a lead in how the role progresses. This is a fantastic, unique sporting opportunity to really get involved in volleyball and gain some great management and sports development experience so get in touch!

     

    Main duties:

    ● To co-ordinate and support other young volunteers at indoor, beach and sitting volleyball events

    ● To chair the newly created National Youth Forum for Volleyball England

    ● To be involved in setting up the National Youth Forum and selecting members of the National Youth Forum

    ● To assist in office based projects in our Loughborough office

    ● Other tasks as decided in conjunction with the National Volunteer Development Officer

     

    You will need to be free to volunteer for at least 7 of the following weekends:  23rd – 24th October, 30th – 31st October, 21st November, 19th December, 16th January, 6th February, 12th – 13th February, 26th – 27th February, 19th – 20th March, 2nd – 3rd April, 16th – 17th April, 30th April – 2nd May.

     

    Essential skills required:

    ● An interest in volleyball

    ● Enthusiasm

    ● A team-player

    ● Able to use own initiative

    ● Able to talk to people of different ages from different backgrounds

    ● Willingness to learn

    Out of pocket expenses (such as travel and food) are paid for by prior arrangement.

     

    After you have said you’re interested in doing this, we’ll send an application form.  This needs to be returned by the 8th October.  Then when you’ve done this we will phone you for an informal chat.  CRB checks will also need to be done, but we’ll help you with this.
