Aged 18+? Volunteer as a moderator on TheSite.org discussion boards to help us maintain a positive and friendly atmosphere within this active online youth community.
Moderators check posts made by board users and are responsible for ensuring that they comply with our guidelines. Often no action needs to be taken, but moderators are encouraged to provide information and support to help posters (e.g. a depressed person is given links and telephone numbers of services that could support them), help steer a discussion back on topic, or warn a user about unacceptable behaviour.
We need open-minded, internet-savvy, reliable people who are in touch with TheSite.org issues to help us out. Technical expertise is not necessary, but common sense and a good sense of humour is a distinct advantage!
