    Haringey Victims support centre is a charity that supports victims and witnesses of crime. They are looking for out going friendly volunteers to help out on the day to day running of the charity. As a victim support you will be expected to carry out a range of roles and tasks across the organisation

     

    The role will involve:

     

     

     

     

    • 1:1 and/or telephone victim support advocacy- Thus providing support to the victims. This could range from just being a listening ear to providing advice and guidance; advocacy work i:e contacting the police or housing agencies on the victims behalf; referring volunteer to external agencies; providing personal alarm and safety information

     

     

     

     

    • Outreach work- Assisting with recruitment drives at college , school fairs, assisting with presentations and talks at schools and other organisations  
    • Events and fundraising – Assisting with planning and organisation fundraising events organised by staff of victims support

     

     

     

     

    • Administrative duties – I.E meeting and greeting visitors to the office, dealing with telephone queries, data inputting
