The need for volunteers
The Club was formed in 1995 but has grown impressively since 2008. They currently 4 Men’s teams, 4 Children’s teams and a women’s teams. This growth has meant that they are slightly over capacity and being a volunteer based club many of the people involved also have full time jobs limiting their capabilities to investing as much times as they'd like the development and growth of the club. So they need to grow the capacity in forms of managering, coaching and marketing personal.
The role – Youth Fixture Officer
The volunteers will be placed on the youth committee board
The role will be to:
• Arrange Fixture List for each season.
• Arranges additional fixtures as agreed with individual age groups.
• Confirm weekly fixture arrangements
This will involve communicating with other clubs.
Skills/ Qualities required by volunteers:
-Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about rugby - because over time volunteers must be able to understand opposition clubs are at the right level for Millwall’s teams to play
- Organised
. Good secretarial skills- i.e. confident with using a computer (excel & word)
- Have a passion for helping and working with young people and sports.
As a requirement volunteers will be RFU CRB checked. (provided by the club)
