Day for Change 2011 is approaching fast, and we don't want you to miss out!

Would you like to dress up as Elvis? Or have a non-uniform day at school? How about dyeing your friends' hair blue, to raise money for children affected by climate change?

You can do all these things and more to raise money for children in need of aid on Day for Change 2011.

Day for Change 2011 officially takes place on 4 February 2011, but you can hold your event at any time in the school year that suits you.

Day for Change is an event where pupils get the chance to do something different in exchange for making a small donation to UNICEF. Day for Change is easy to organise! Every school that registers receives a free resource kit packed with fundraising ideas, assembly and lesson plans, real life stories, stickers, posters and much more to make their Day for Change a success. Schools can download additional resources or print out extra copies which will be available in September.

All you have to do is send us your details (see below!) and tell your teacher to visit this web page! We also take registrations from schools.

    Who will my fundraising help?

This year you and your school can help change the lives of children affected by climate change in Guyana, South America.

Every child has the right to an education, to health, to a childhood, to be treated fairly, and the right to be heard. These fundamental rights are being denied by climate change. In Guyana, flooding is making it difficult for children to go to school. Children’s rights are harder to achieve, as changing temperatures and an increase in natural disasters (such as floods) make food and water scarcer.

Day for Change will raise money to help communities in Guyana adapt to these changes, and help ensure that children are able to realise their rights. UNICEF is already helping children and communities deal with the effects of climate change. But we need your help to do more.

Denying a child’s rights is wrong.  Whether you raise money through a bake sale or a sponsored swim, you can help us put it right.
