Role Summary The Wild Place, Your Space team is seeking a person to provide support for our online communications. We need people for promoting the Wild Place, Your Space project online. This includes using social networks sites, blog sites, twitter pages and any other forms of online communication and marketing techniques available to promote the project to a wider audience. The rolw will involve creating accessible infomation using; visuals, audio and plain english to get the projects key messages and opportunities across to under-represented communities around the Lee Valley Park. Details of the role The role will involve * Researching possible ways to promote WPYS online to the projects target communities * Uploading media and infomation onto the website, pictures, videos and project information * Using html formatting to adapt and customise the website to improve access * Liaising with the WPYS team to promote the project on social networking sites * Setting up forums and monitoring discussion boards What we are looking for? * Excellent understanding and use of the web including, social media * Some knowledge of using html web formatting. * A good understanding of social inclusion and equal opportunities in accessing information on the internet. * Excellent attention to detail * Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team * Internet research skills * Well organised and hands-on in your approach * Access to a computer, phone and internet at home * A good level of written and spoken English What’s in it for you? * This is a wonderful opportunity to make a genuine contribution to an exciting partnership engaging and connecting East London’s diverse communities with their local natural heritage. * Gain or develop for creating more accessible information on the web. * Learn more about the opportunities available with the WPYS project, the RSPB and the Lee Valley Park. * Out of pocket expenses will be re-imbursed, including travel * If you would like to make a real difference to the work of the WPYS team, by giving your time and skills, it would be great if you could join us.
