The Youth Advisory Group is open for 14-21 year olds to make the National Maritime Museum relevant to young people!
When we need you:

- Weekends, Evenings, and Flexible
We meet once a month, on a weekend. The time and day is decided by the Youth Advisors via an online poll. An email will be sent out to you to let you decide which date and time, and then you will be updated via email and text. We meet onsite at National Maritime Museum and the workshops usually last 3-4 hours. We work together and lunch is provided!

The Youth Advisory Group (YAG) have been together since 2008 and we want more young people to join for new projects we have coming up. The YAG have:
- Created events for young people at the National Maritime Museum
- Created their own exhibition, displayed in the Museum
- Taken part in film-making workshops
- Had hands-on experience with real historical and cultural objects
- Worked with artists, dancers, musicians, film-makers, writers and designers to learn new skills and share with other young people
- Worked with Museum professionals to go behind the scenes Being a Youth Advisor is the chance to learn, participate, share and achieve and offers a unique experience to put on your CV or UCAS entry form
Everything we do is led by the Youth Advisors, so if you want to have a say, get in touch and we can let you know about upcoming projects!
