Everyone has skills that they can oThe Time Bank is an exciting new way to become more engaged with your community, make a difference to other people’s lives, use your skills and get help with those tasks you have been putting off! , from sharing their musical talent, helping with gardening, helping to organise a community event, or spending an hour with someone that may have otherwise spent the day alone.
The North Herts Time Bank is running a youth project in Summer 2011. We are looking for people aged 15-20 to help out less able people in North Hertfordshire in their gardens. The people that you will be helping are likely to be quite isolated, so not only will you be improving their quality of life by giving them practical support, you might just make them feel less lonely too.
Because this project is part of a Time Bank you will earn a ‘credit’ for every hour that you help out, which you will be able to spend on a special event at the end of the summer.
