    Play a part from the start in helping to launch Oxfam’s biggest ever global campaign - a rare and not to be missed opportunity!

    Sheffield Oxfam Group is looking for motivated volunteers to undertake a number of different roles and work towards getting our fantastic campaign off the ground in June and beyond! We simply need your enthusiasm!

    We’re offering a flexible chance to be a part of the Oxfam team and help create a fairer and more just world. From big to small gestures, there is something for everyone, from getting involved with local festivals to putting on your own event.

    All the while you’ll have fun, meet some fabulous new people and work towards making a difference.

    Sheffield Oxfam Group welcomes all volunteers. In particular we’re looking for a committed volunteer interested in helping to create a vibrant and engaging online presence for the Sheffield Oxfam Group. This is a great way to put your computer and social net-working expertise to use and gain some great new skills and experience!

    Title of role: Sheffield Oxfam Group (SOG) Webmaster
    Location: Based at home – flexibility to attend meetings and events
    Reporting to: SOG Coordinator
    Hours/days: We're very flexible and can work around your other committments.

    What work will I be doing as Webmaster?
    • Initiating a Webpage for the group to advertise its existence and events
    • Initiating a Facebook page to encourage greater participation in local Oxfam events
    • Maintaining these pages for a minimum of six months
    • Update pages as necessary with links to Oxfam’s main site for items in the news
    • Develop a sound knowledge of Oxfam’s core campaigns
    • Contribute ideas and creativity to our on-line presence


    What can Oxfam offer me as a volunteer?

    • Experience of working as part of a team
    • Training in Oxfam’s campaigns



    Closing date for applications: Friday 13th May, 5pm. Successful applicants will be notified the following Monday and will be required to participate in a short telephone interview.

    Please be available to attend the first group meeting on Wednesday the 18th May, 6.30-8pm at the Central United Reformed Church, 60 Norfolk Street, Sheffield S1 2JB (near Crucible Theatre)
