This vital role is about raising the profile of the charity and awareness of heart disease within schools, colleges and/ or nurseries by giving short presentations about our work and the importance of healthy lifestyles. The aim is to build relationships with teachers and PE co-ordinators at schools within an agreed area. You would be helping to encourage them to participate in national fundraising events such as Jump Rope for Heart (skipping) and Ultimate Dodgeball, which raise vital funds whilst improving children’s heart health. Where schools have supported the charity, you might attend cheque presentations and thank them. You need to be available approx. half a day per week (term time). Internet access required, as well as own transport. Resources for assemblies will be provided. References required.
