  • More info

Hundred2Hundreds is a British Red Cross fundraising activity for young people in the south east of England.

The rules are simple - apply for £100 which you use on a fundraising project of your choice to make hundreds of pounds for the Red Cross.

Past winners included a Red Cross Rave and an art exhibition. If you have an idea that you think could raise hundreds of pounds in aid of the valuable work the Red Cross do in the UK and across the world, we would love to hear from you.

    What's in it for you?

Fundraising can be a great laugh. Giving you and your friends a chance to organise a fun-filled event or project, secure in the knowledge that it's all for a good cause. But there's much more to it than that...

    Action...

You're probably aware of the issues, conflicts and disasters affecting people at home and abroad. If you'd like to do something to make a difference, take humanitarian action and fundraise for the work of the Red Cross.

    Work Experience...

So you've arranged a fundraising event and roped in some mates to help-big deal, right? Think again: you've actually just been gaining valuable experience in event management, administration, finance and managing volunteers...and you've helped make the world a better place.

    CV heaven...

Fundraising experience makes for the perfect cherry on top of anyone's CV. Employers are always impressed to know that they're dealing with someone who's proactive and well-intentioned. And in a competitive job market, that experience could give you the edge.

    Open your mind...

Linking up with a global organisation will give you an insight into how charities work, what people's real difficulties are and a surprising look behind media headlines. As a fundraiser, you will be able to communicate this to donors.

    How it works...

Get creative and think of a good fundraising idea, get it down on paper by filling in an application form and then send your form to the address below (before the deadline!). All applications will be reviewed by a judging panel and the winning teams will be announced on Tuesday 8 November 2011.

Winning teams will recieve a confirmation pack along with support from the local Red Cross fundraising team.

The project is run by young people, for young people. So give it a go, fill in the form, it's not too long. What's most important are your ideas - be creative with your application so it catches the judging panel's eye.

    The rules
