Planning will take up approximately the next fortnight, dealing with organising schools and businesses to get behind the campaign. Approximately two weeks sorting out PR and Marketing alongside creating a food hub and one to two weeks dealing with both storage and distribution of the food collected

Food poverty affects 1 in 4 families in the UK and 4 million people will suffer from food poverty this upcoming winter. They have to make the choice between heating and eating, something which this campaign will address. As the core volunteers, your roles will be vast and diverse. I'm looking for a maximum of 10 enthusiastic, committed volunteers, who are passionate about creating a change in their community. The six weeks will be filled with plans, challenges and prospects; the sky is the limit in terms of the creativity for this project. We’ll need to persuade local businesses, families and schools to donate non-perishable items of food, find a place to become our ‘’food hub,’’ including the planning, decorating of such a place. We’ll also arrange the distribution of the food to our chosen beneficiary organisation and track the impact of the project as well as a host of other duties.
I’m looking for volunteers who have experience (or have always wished to have experience) in the following areas: PR + Marketing, Donation co-ordinators, distribution, event planning, organisational skills, experience at persuading businesses, schools and families for a good cause but the main experience I want from my core volunteers is the desire to change the world: one campaign at a time. It doesn't matter if this is your 1st or 10th time volunteering, if you want to change this terrible statistic; then join the project!
