To provide a service teaching English to refugees and asylum seekers aged 15-18 in a social services residence, which will equip and enable them to grow in confidence and communication skills.
Volunteers work at a residence for 15 to 18 year-old unaccompanied asylum seekers and refugees, providing English-tuition. Ideal volunteer has good English and spelling (doesn’t have to be a native speaker).
Specific training provided for ESOL tutors. Please contact Community Action Office to find out the next date.
This project is only available to Royal Holloway UoL volunteers and requires a CRB disclosure via Community Action office.
