Who:
16 - 18 year olds and vulnerable adults (Must be accompanied by a responsible adult)
and 18 - 25 year olds. Everybody is welcome whatever your ability or experience.
What:
Help to manage our Charnwood area nature reserves and our Oakham area natures reserves. Example of tasks are fencing, scrub clearance, hedgelaying, invasive plant removal, tree management.
Tools, gloves and training are provided. Wear clothing suitable for the weather and that you don't mind getting dirty and sturdy boots with good grip. Steel toe capped boots and wellies (sizes 5 – 12) can be borrowed from the Trust. Just call John in advance to give your size.
Bring a packed lunch with you. We will provide those hard-earned teas, coffees and biscuits!
When:
The Charnwood Sunday group meets on the second Sunday of every month. The group is led by John Bristow (Reserves Officer) and meets at 10.00am, finishing at approximately 2.00pm.
The Oakham Sunday volunteer group meets on the fourth Sunday of each month. This group, led by Andy Lear (Conservation Officer), This group meets at 9.30am and finish at approximately 1.00pm.(You can come out on the day you are available but do let us know you are planning to join us.)
