Do you think elderly people are sometimes left out? In your belief, is isolation amongst the mature generation a real problem? Do you want this problem tackled today? Then you're the right person to join this campaign against loneliness and isolation amongst older people!
National statistics state 1 in 10 people feel lonely and isolated, and half of the elderly population say television is their main form of company.
I am recruiting volunteers to join me on a 6-7 week project that aims to reduce this gap in the society by providing a social sense of support towards older people. There is a wide variety of roles including:
Interviewing people
PR/Advertising
Marketing
Designing (advertising materials)
Event organising/co-ordinating
and more. Take this opportunity to learn new skills, meet new people and enhance your CV.
