You will support CLIC Sargent’s Volunteering Team to develop and launch the pilot of a brand new Youth Volunteering Project for young people aged 14-25 years living with or after cancer.
This project will enable young people to volunteer at CLIC Sargent, developing new skills, gaining essential experience and finding routes back into education, employment or training.
What does the role involve?
· Carry out research into existing volunteer programmes for young people
· Consult CLIC Sargent service users who would like to volunteer, to establish their areas of interest
· Consult CLIC Sargent teams about how they can involve young people in volunteering
· Make proposals to the Volunteering Team about how the Youth Volunteering Project should be developed, what the process for young people to get involved should look like and how young people should be supported, managed and rewarded.
