  We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our team of volunteers at Raceways and Kids Run Free.

   

  Raceways is a Multi-Sport Event Management company that are committed to organising events that are fun yet challenging.  All profits go to our charity organisation:

   

  KIDS RUN FREE (www.kidsrunfree.co.uk) which organises free monthly running races for children up to the age of 16 years old throughout the UK.Our goal is to get children to do more exercise, eat healthier and be excited about health at a younger age. 

   

  Title:  Media and Communications Assistant

  
  

  Essential job functions:

  ·         Overseeing our Social Media Communications on sites such as Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn 

  ·         Increasing Facebook members, Twitter following and mailing list

  ·         Getting content for Facebook and Twitter

  ·         Getting information from community leaders; blog posts, photos and videos 

  ·         Managing and building the online community 

  ·         Creating and maintaining relations with press at local level 

  Minimum qualifications/ experience:

   

  ·         Strong IT capabilities in range of MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Internet)

  ·         Experience in social media (blogging, social networking, Facebook, Twitter, etc)

  ·         Knowledge of email marketing, best practices in advocacy and media monitoring

  ·         Knowledge of HTML including formatting blog postings and sending email

   

  Knowledge, skills and abilities:

  ·         Strong project management or organisational skills

  ·         Knowledge of blogging relevant to the Company’s field

  ·         Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format, and build and maintain relationships

  ·         Good technical understanding and can pick up new tools quickly

  ·         Ability to plan, balance and cope with competingpriorities

  ·         Excellent presentation skills

  ·         A creative and proactive approach to all areas of work
