When we need you:
We are currently looking to recruit new Community & Event Fundraisers in West Dorset to help us raise the profile of the charity and raise funds for the essential services we provide for our service users and families.
The Wessex Autistic Society, South Grove Cottage, Trinity Street, DORCHESTER, Dorset, DT1 1TU
Community & Events Fundraising Volunteer
Our volunteers are a valued part of our team, and integral to the success of our fundraising events.
Some of our volunteers have an affinity to the Society or a personal link to Autism, but many simply love getting involved in the thick of events, organising, and feeling a sense of achievement from helping raise money for people with Autism who need it most. We hold regular volunteer socials so it’s a great way to meet and make new friends with common interests.
Lend a helping hand at a fundraising event
From fun runs to concerts, there are plenty of exciting activities for you to come along and enjoy the day while doing your bit for Autism.
Get involved in community fundraising
Be a friendly face out and about in the community and help with a collection in your area.
Act as an Ambassador for us
Help us to spread the word about our events and services amongst your work colleagues, friends and family or hold a fundraising activity to support The Wessex Autistic at your school, sixth-form, college or Uni!
Be inspired to volunteer for us
Be inspired by our young gun volunteer, Jack Bowyer, who started volunteering with us in March 2011. Read more.....
