TEACH stands for Time to Educate Africa’s CHildren.
We are a dynamic and frontline NGO whos mission is alleviating poverty through the power of education. TEACH provides innovative and holistic educational programmes which places the power to make a positive global change firmly in the hands of young people. We are currently looking for passionate and dedicated Student Ambassadors at Universities across the UK to support TEACH’ s work.
(Please note: All applicants must be CURRENT university students - or have access to a network similar to university students)
This programme is designed to provide internship type experience that is flexible around other uni commitments. As a Student Ambassador, your role is to maximize awareness of TEACH at your University by organizing a sustainable and successful International 'Charity Challenge' event of your choosing. You will be presented with 7 different events to choose from and should decide based on what you think will run best in your university and which interests you most.
For more information on the 7 Charity Challenges TEACH current offer, please see our Charity Challenge Prospectus Brochure,
Once you’ve picked a challenge, you need to recruit participants. This can be done by setting up a society at your University, liasing with your Student Fundraising Body, or spreading the word amongst your friends and family. The most important thing is; you undertake the challenge alongside the volunteers – and your place is completely free, no fundraising either!
Please note: A dedicated mentor will be assigned to each Student Ambassador who will provide advice and guidance along the way.
For more information on the Student Ambassaor role please see the Student Ambassador Job Description, or email joshua@teachafrica.org.uk expressing that you are interested in the role and would like acopy of the Student Ambassador Info pack and an application form.
