Local competitions take place on the 22 June 2013. Winners of local heats will go on to compete at the area final and area final winners will compete at the National Final at the Indig02 at the O2 in London.

How do I sign-up?
Sign-up is now live on our website at: www.redcross.org.uk/dance
Who can take part?
Anyone aged 4-18 can take part, regardless of their ability. Primary, secondary and special schools, colleges, youth groups and disabled groups are all welcome – it’s for anyone who likes to dance.
Who will I be competing against?
There are two age groups: a junior group for ages 4-11 and a senior group for ages 12-18. There must not be mixed age groups.
When and where?
Events take place between March and July. Events are happening all over the UK details on our website (www.redcross.org.uk/dance) Spaces are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Finalists go on to perform at the IndigO2 at the O2 in London.
How do I enter?
Fill out the registration form online at www.redcross.org.uk/dance and pay the £18 registration fee. Alternatively, e-mail dancemakeyourmove@redcross.org.uk for an offline form.
What about the dance?
All groups create a dance routine between three and eight minutes long based on the Red Cross’ work – that could be anything from first aid to child soldiers to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan.
What about the fundraising?
We ask all groups to raise at least £50 for the Red Cross, which will help save and change lives in the UK and overseas. There are awards for all fundraising achievements over £100.
Will you help me?
You will have a dedicated Dance: Make Your Move co-ordinator who will be happy to help with fundraising ideas and creating your dance. Your teacher’s pack and the planning your dance section of the website is also full of resources, ideas and advice.
