The vinvolved 'Four Seasons Fashion Show' last year at local venue 'The Junction' was a great success, following over 80 volunteers, over £1500 raised for charity, and support and donations from designers from 'London's Fashion Week'. The idea was simple; find materials from local participating charity shops, and revamp them in line with four collections, one for each season of the year. Volunteer models then walk them down our catwalk to show people how great charity shop clothes are, and what you can do with them. This year we're going Cambridgeshire wide - looking for models, designers, photographers, those interested in hair and beauty (last year we had an award winning hairdressers and Clarins helping us!). We need volunteers to help us with planning, PR, music, general help, and also designers to help us with our programme. Whatever your skills, there's a way for you to be involved.
We are raising money for the Teenage Cancer Trust and the British Heart Foundation in 'The Decadence Fashion Show' - a celebration of fashion with five collections depicting the the 1940's to the 1980's. To do this we are mixing charity shop clothes with vintage inspired pieces, for two shows that will open the new 'Cambridge Fashion Week', one at the St Ives Corn Exchange on the 26th September and one on the 27th September at the Junction, Cambridge.
