OPPORTUNITY LOCATED IN KNARESBOROUGH, NORTH YORKSHIRE. To work outdoors on paths, woods and riverbank, to do varied work that can be interesting but also physical at times. Working in a friendly group of maybe four people or more. No skill is needed so long as instructions are followed, but it is useful if you can dig and push a loaded wheelbarrow. We meet fortnightly on Saturday mornings to do practical work in the Knaresborough section of the Nidd Gorge. We improve footpaths through Bilton Fields, Foolish Wood and Mackintosh Park. We look after trees and plant various things in this semi-natural area near the river. We enjoy the exercise and the fresh air. Volunteers make new friends while working in beautiful surroundings. Join us and develop new skills in countryside conservation. -
