Every year we chose six 17+ young people to train to be outdoor activity instructors. These trainee positions start with us in March and leave in October. At the end of the summer if you train hard you could achieve vocational BCU and RYA qualifications, as well as be trained Bell Boat, Dragon Boat and climbing instructors. When not training, our trainees assist in all other aspects of the site, helping our caretaker with site maintenance, serving in our cafe, office duties and coordinating birthday parties. Applicants don't need any qualifications but do need to be able to work with young people and be confident around water. The positions can be residential and we provide full board. The training is a voluntary to be taken up in your free time and we pay minimum wage for your part-time work assisting with maintenance and catering, which will equate to at least £70.00 a week. -
