We are looking for volunteers to help comfort, advise and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn.

- Weekdays and Weekends
We ask volunteers to commit to a weekly shift of 4 hours and 15 minutes at the same time each week - this opportunity is ongoing and the minimum commitment is 1 year from completion of training.

ChildLine’s volunteer counsellors are ordinary people doing something extraordinary. Can you spare a few hours a week to join them? Full training is provided and as a volunteer counsellor you would be talking to children and young people on the phone and online. We are also looking for volunteer switch boarders who are the initial point of contact for children waiting to speak to a counsellor. ChildLine London is just a few minutes walk from Liverpool Street national rail and tube station and all our opportunities require volunteers to come to the ChildLine office once a week for their shift. Please contact us to find out what shift times are available. We ask that you sign up for a weekly shift of 4 hours 15 minutes (including preparation and de-briefing time) for at least a year after you have completed the initial training.

Hi everyone! Being accepted through the site means that we will send you initial information about booking on to a ChildLine volunteer information meeting. After this you will need to complete a full application form to apply for the volunteer role.

I have been calling all the time and still no reply :(
1st June is the day to call them…they will eventually send a letter but you MUST call on 1st June in the morning
