As workshops are booked with schools and youth settings, the Youth Development Officer will notify Peer Educators who can sign up if they are available. We expect Peer Educators to deliver a minimum of 6 workshops in their first year of volunteering. Every month there is a mandatory Peer Educator meeting as well as a one-to-one supervision to support you in your role as a Peer Educator.

Brent Mind's youth project, Mind Map, runs a Peer Educator programme, where we train young people to deliver workshops to other young people on a variety of mental health topics. The 3 day training covers presentation skills, confidence building and general mental health awareness. As a Peer Educator, you will also benefit from: • Transferable skills for jobs • Other free training opportunities • Fun group activities Traveling expenses will be reimbursed and you will receive lunch at the training.
