To assist with the blog, facebook, twitter accounts and film/photograph local sporting activities to post onto the website.

The work is not location specific. The person will need to have good access to the Internet. Moreover, we do have a female sports fashion competition that will be posted at the end of February and wish to contact as many people as possible. There is also a “Fun in the Park” event going on in London on 12th September.

The website needs to be continually updated and we are too short-staffed to do so. The idea was to provide information about sports and then allow the website to be managed by the people who can post details about their local club and events going on in their neighbourhood. The job is home based, requiring the applicant(s) to have good Internet access and to be very competent using blogs, facebook, twitter, etc. If an applicant has more of a media background then we’d very much like filmed footage of sports in their local area or filming large sporting events and adding their personal take on it. We’d also encourage interviewing sports people or people within their community to help understand what activities people want and ways to encourage healthier lifestyles. For example, some Muslim women would prefer use of public swimming pools without men – what is the local council doing about it? -
