Will consist of outdoor work in conservation or community projects, or indoor sessions ranging from literacy and numeracy help, job searches, C.V. help & food hygiene. IMPORTANT: To qualify for this programme, you must be living in the Oldham area and also be unemployed and not in education

The Community skills initiative (CSI) is a 6-week programme located at the Groundwork Oldham and Rochdale site. It is aimed at people aged 19 upwards who are currently unemployed. They will gain skills in the following areas: conservation (inc. John Muir award) , food hygiene, literacy and numeracy and they will also have the opportunity to work on a community project in the local area. It’s free and the next programme starts on the 31st March 2010. IMPORTANT: To qualify for this programme, you must be living in the Oldham area and also be unemployed and not in education -
