The Rickmansworth Festival takes place on the third weekend of May every year and celebrates canals, the community and the environment. Now going for over fifteen years, it is the highlight of the town’s annual calendar and finale of Rickmansworth Week.
Organised by the Rickmansworth Waterways Trust, it needs a lot of willing volunteers to help each year, and we could always do with more! For example, this year we'd like more people to go among the crowds with buckets to collect donations of coins (and notes!) - this is a major fundraising event for us and we'd like to make the most of it. If you like the sound of giving your support to this worthwhile charity and getting out there to try your bucket-shaking skills, why not gather up a group of mates and bring them along with you - you'll be doing a great favour for the RWT, in a friendly Festival atmosphere with loads going on, including music and live bands, boats, stalls, displays and food!
