Out and About enables disabled Children and Young People to have fun and enjoy their choice of universal leisure activity with support.
What do volunteers do?
Sports, swimming, guides and brownies, cubs and scouts, youth clubs, after school clubs… there are loads of activities that our volunteers take part in when supporting disabled children and young people.
Volunteers support disabled children and young people in their chosen leisure activity. The activity may only last a couple of hours a week but it can make a huge difference to the young person and their family.
Can I be a volunteer?
Volunteers must be aged 16 and over. They have a wide range of backgrounds, interests and experience. Some are students at sixth form, college or university, others are in employment and enjoy having another interest outside work - we recognise that everyone has something to offer.
