Aspire is a brand new project aimed at 16 – 25 year olds, who have experienced problems with drug and/ or alcohol misuse.
These young people are invited to volunteer on a number of projects, which will benefit their local community and enable them to gain experience and accredited training. The Projects that we are recruiting for at present are: Film Project – Volunteers will work with the support a local film maker to plan, design and create 3 short films on how drugs and alcohol affect young people. Graffiti Project – Volunteers will work on a number of art projects, and will be taught a variety graffiti skills, which they will use to create art work to be displayed in public. Music Project – Volunteers will be taught a variety of musical skills, including DJ and MC workshops. We hope to have a young persons led music event next June, showcasing the skills you will learn. Sport Project – This project is still at its early stages and Aspire are looking for young people who would like to take charge of this and help develop it.
