More info
After completing training in London or Chester, you will recruit a team of volunteers to work with local communities to reduce the growing carbon footprint of our leisure industry. We want to get people out of the carbon crunching gym to the great outdoors. We think that trees and urban open spaces provide a fantastic free and fun outdoor exercise resource. We need community leaders to come up with new and exciting ideas to get people using their open spaces in a wide range of activities including tree planting! You will also be challenged to create surveys to work out carbon savings. The project will culminate in Trees for Cities popular outdoor Tree-athlon event in September 2010. The Trees for Play team will work on a fun and innovative project to encourage residents to use trees and open spaces to make their lifestyles healthier as well as encouraging more environmental responsible behaviour. -
