Last year the world watched the speeches, campaigns and decisions happening within the COP15 climate talks in CopenhagenThe outcome was, to say at least a disappointment.
However it wasn’t th end.These meetings happen every year and thus COP16 is taken place in Cancun, Mexico between 29th November-10th December.
The main difference between these two COP meetings - is the media circus that surrounded Copenhagen and filled our newspapers will not appear within Cancun.
Climate Squad being a youth initiative dealing with Climate Change is enlisting an elite reporting team based here in the UK, to use Facebook, Twitter, Bloggs, Vloggs, networks, images, chat rooms, newspaper columns and your own voice to get the UK youth engaged, taking note and acting on the news you spread to them about COP16.
It is a post that needs commitment over 20 days with the majority of work happening between the 29thNov - 10thDec. Due to the time difference between here and Mexico (6 hours) there will also be a case of working late.Benefits include:- having a voice, getting the UK notice the opinions of youth, increasing climate change awareness and supporting the efforts of the international youth within Cancun.
