Are you 18-25? New to volunteering? Passionate about film & fancy joining a high profile media team?
Since September our Digital Documenters have been busy producing short documentary films to tell the world how the Olympic ideals affect young people. The plan? To create a buzz about the London 2012 Olympics, show the massive variety & impact of volunteering and encourage more people to volunteer!
As part of this campaign, there is a special Digital Documenters category at the amazing First Light Awards 2011 in Leicester Square, London. This star studded event is an amazing chance to show everyone how important volunteering is and celebrate the achievements of young filmmakers: http://www.firstlightonline.co.uk/fl-awards/
Want to be part of this once in a life-time opportunity? Well, you’re in luck! First Light is on the hunt for Campaign Film Reviewers. You’ll be responsible for:
· Attending a viewing panel in Birmingham on 8th February 2011 (First Light will cover all travel expenses);
· Choosing which four films should be nominated for a First Light Award. The films you choose will then be voted for by film industry celebrities AND the public;
· Helping the Digital Documenters campaign to get as many people as possible to watch/vote for the films online.
The winning film will be announced at the ceremony on March 15 2011. Here’s the best bit - Campaign Film Reviewers will also be invited to attend the First Light Awards!!
TO APPLY, sign in and click 'I'd like to do this’ NOW! We will send you the details. Please note the deadline for applications is 23rd January 2011. This opportunity is open to young people from all over England.
