New Volunteer to join our Youth & Schools Project working with young people on a variety of environmental projects. You’ll get loads of practical conservation work experience as well as a grounding in leading, supervising and training young people if you are interested in a full-time volunteer position. We also offer significant free training including NVQ in environmental conservation or horticulture. Based at our spanking new sustainable offices in the heart of this tin mining World Heritage Site, this is a great way to work towards a job in the environmental or youth sectors.

Volunteer applicants must be aged 16 to 25.

From A30, turn off at Tolvaddon roundabout,, onto A3047 to Camborne and Redruth. At double roundabout, turn right into Tolgarrick Road, towards Camborne. Entrance to the Valley Park is after 100 yards, at bottom of hill next to Tuckingmill Hotel.

BTCV runs a diverse range of activities across the UK. Many are focused around practical conservation work, but BTCV also provides extensive training, work experience and education opportunities. Projects also exist to help introduce children and young people to the environment as well as those helping to involve people with learning difficulties in environmental activities. Some of BTCV's activities include: Conservation projects Green Gym, a programme to promote the health benefits of working in the outdoors Conservation holidays, both in the UK and worldwide Providing support to local community groups Providing accredited training Consultancy Environmental education and waste education programmes for children and young people Providing training for the long-term unemployed
