The best junior girl cricketers come and compete in the Lady Taverners Regional final competition. U13 and U15 girls will compete in two different competitions. You do not need to have cricket knowledge to be able to assist on the day.
Outcomes
· Provide match reports for each fixture.
· Capture quotes from individuals involved within the day.
· Provide support in other areas of the sports team or with the sport director as necessary.
Tasks
· Provide detailed match reports of the fixtures that are played.
· Communicate with officials, scorers, team managers to ensure correct details are recorded.
· Keep the event organiser up to date on progress within your task
· Liaise with team leader throughout shift.
· To work with the photographer to capture images and news related images to support your match report.
Qualities, Experience & Skills sought
· No experience necessary.
· An interest in media studies
· A basis idea of media press reports
· Good ability to communicate with officials, team managers.
· Working within the larger events team.
· Organisational skills.
· Reliable, enthusiastic, friendly.
· Confident, ability to work on own initiative.
Training Provision
Training will be provided on site, and support will be available throughout.
Volunteer uniform will be provide (t-shirt) and all volunteers will receive refreshments and lunch during the day.
