In Spring 2010 ‘I have a choice’ worked with over 50 volunteers on a Community Radio Project. With the help of our partners at Choice FM the volunteers took part in an 8-week training course, designed to give hands on experience in live radio broadcast and production.
Those successfully completing the course even gained OCN accreditation units in radio production and broadcast, meaning they not only had great fun but also learnt new and transferable skills for the future.
The training was followed by a month of live broadcast on their radio station ReachFM in May 2010This project is going to be repeated so keep in touch if this is the opportunity for you.The skills that can be gained include:
• Organisation and
administration skills
• Marketing
• Digital marketing and media
