    Your library needs you!

Sign up now to take part in an exciting project working with St Helens Libraries. MyVoice Coast To Coast is the first of its kind and St Helens Central Library is one of only 5 places taking part in this in the UK. The Central Library has recently been refurbished and is an exciting place for young people with its iHub facility. MyVoice Coast To Coast is a one day roadshow taking place on Saturday 30th July 2011 for young people aged 11-19.

You will plan everything and decide how the day takes shape. We want your ideas as to what young people would like to see in the library that day. Would you like a band to perform, maybe you think the library should host an arts workshop, what about a well known author coming to talk to young people about their work? You can decide and will have the final say on everything.

We will pay your travel expenses and give you the training that you need to put on this event. You will work with other young people and make new friends. Plus you have the exciting opportunity to organise a roadshow for the library based entirely on what you would like! You must commit to meeting with the library staff weekly from May and be available for the whole of the Roadshow day in July, so that you can see everything runs smoothly. In addition, you can become producers and actors by filming the Roadshow. Whether you want to work behind the scenes or have a chance to star, this volunteering project is for you! Volunteering on this project will look great on your CV. Who knows you might meet someone famous too!
