Limetree Festival!

The Limetree Festival is a 3 day music & arts festival set amongst the beautiful surroundings of Limetree Farm nature reserve at Grewelthorpe near Ripon.

3 stages featuring a top class lineup of bands and artists renowned for their live performances plus comedy, cabaret, street theatre, late night cinema, art, poetry, politics, literature & more. We need volunteers to make this the best Limetree festival yet!

The opportunities on offer

As festival organisers we are learning valuable lessons about what we can do to help look after the land and it goes hand in hand with improving the festival for everyone. So, for instance, in 2010 there will be more rubbish bins, including ones for recycling materials.

We will also be giving out festival packs to everyone when they arrive and amongst the goodies there will be bin bags for people to collect their own camp rubbish. We are also working on green travel plans to cut down the number of cars coming to the festival.

In return, all volunteers supporting Limetree Festival will receive free entry to the event for the weekend (worth £80!)

Seeking paid employment in the environmental sector is incredibly competitive, and - as such - this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking for a career in environmental work or waste management to gain some first-hand, practical experience to back up your qualifications or bolster your CV! 

·         Environmental Action Team -
We need you to be part of our Environmental Action Team that will be on-site for the event, educating people about the benefits of caring for the environment, as well as making it as easy as possible for visitors and exhibitors to recycle their waste.

·         Environmental Action Team Leaders –

We need you to lead the shifts of volunteers that make up our Environmental Action Team.

·         Stewards –

Limetree Festival is looking for volunteers to welcome people to the festival site and ensure they can find their way around our beautiful venue.
We will also be giving out festival packs to everyone when they arrive and helping people get parked, camped and having a good time as quickly and efficiently as possible!
So if you can smile, point in the right direction and occasionally help someone with a heavy bag, we need your help!

Skills/Qualifications

Volunteers are not required to have any formal qualifications or previous experience (but experience IS welcome!). You will need bags of energy though, plenty of enthusiasm, be happy dealing with the public and - above all - passionate about caring for the environment.

Getting there

Limetree Farm is near the village of Grewelthorpe, approximately 6.5 miles north-west of Ripon and 3.5 miles south of Masham.
