Cranham Brickfields Transformation Volunteer

Live in Havering? Do you care about wildlife and your local environment? Then this opportunity may be of interest to you! 

On 26th August, we will require a number of passionate volunteers like yourselves to undertake some much needed pond restoration work at Cranham Brickfields Local Nature Reserve. The site has a fantastic pond wildlife which has a healthy population of great crested newts amongst other things. We will be working alongside volunteers from Thames Chase to install a new pond dipping platform for use by local schools. Tree and scrub clearance will also need to be undertaken to allow better access to the pond area and to allow more light in to encourage the growth of rare and budding vegetation.

The project will run from 10am - 4pm. Volunteers will need to bring lunch, drink, sun cream, wellies, old clothes. We will provide all tools, training, refreshments.
