We have all been there: Sitting at home, cosied up on the sofa with our dinner and a bedtime drink when something truly horrifying comes up on the Evening News. Whether it’s a war, a tsunami, an earthquake, famine or a hurricane, it just doesn’t seem right to just climb into our warm, snuggly beds and forget about it. But what can we really do to help?
Save the Children has just opened a new opportunity for you to sign up to become an Emergency Fundraiser, so that when disaster strikes, you will be the first person to be called-a bit like Ghostbusters but without the ghosts!
When you get the call, you will be asked to raise money fast. You might want to grab a bucket and take a collection, run round college or uni and ask for donations, call your mates and throw a party...basically just anything that’s fast, makes money and that you can turn around in a week or two.
To sign up as an Emergency Fundraiser you need to be over 18 years.
