To Organise The Flagship Event 'Memory Walk' in your local area in September 2011 with support from Memory Walk Volunteers and the Community Fundraising Team.
The Event is a Sponsored Walk
Some of your responsibilities will include, Booking the venue (e.g. park), recruiting volunteers to help you organise the event (these can be your friends, relatives or people recruited through other means) , ensure there is first aid booked (e.g. st Johns Ambulance) and get some walkers to the event.
Memory Walk is Alzheimer's Society annual flagship fundraising event. During September, walks take place throughout the country and is open to everyone.
Support will be provided from the Memory Walk Team and the Local Community Fundraiser and other helpful resources will include a website for your event which will be set up by our team once you have dates and a venue. Also a Poster Design, T-shirts, Balloons and Banners.
Guidance will be provided.
